This ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) is a revolutionary material removal system, designed to outperform and replace humans in hazardous confined spaces while exceeding the requirements mandated by new government regulations. In addition, with its proprietary spiral propellers, compression hoods and on-board pump systems it is highly effective for any material by being adaptable to any viscosity or density. We can remove any material by mechanically bringing it past shear point, collecting it and removing it by hose. All of this is accomplished remotely with no human entry into the vessel.

Resource Recovery Robots Vehicles can be changed on location at the job site to match material as the job changes. If the material goes from a liquid to a solid the vehicle can be quickly changed to remove the solid material. The ROV can be easily deployed in less than sixty minutes through any vessel entrance 16 inches or larger in diameter. More importantly, this deployment can be accomplished without human entry of the vessel or loss of VOC's (Volatile Organic Compound) to the atmosphere.

Using the ARES system, human entry into a confined space is never necessary, including final cleaning. This entire system is operated through the command center trailer where the ROV operator can safely monitor the on-going job using a highly sophisticated camera monitoring system able to zoom and focus up to 300 ft away, thus providing realtime images appearing as if you were only inches away. The ROV vehicle can easily fit into a customized command center trailer and is deployed and operated by as few as two persons with proper training.

To demonstrate this effectiveness Ares conducts live demonstrations at our Houston facility. These demonstrations are the most effective means of turning skeptics into believers. The number one quote heard is, “If this ROV works it will be a solution to many problems.” By executing hands on demonstrations of our products ease of deployment (with no human entry), interchangeable components (to meet any required material), power, traction, and overall efficiency of use, we eliminate any and all doubts as to our ROV’s problem solving capability.

These robotic systems are the safest, fastest, most efficient systems on the market and the only system to satisfy all regulatory guidelines.
Component Description

24" Vehicle Head - This is our heavy-duty vehicle head for four, six or eight-wheel drive traction to handle difficult material and large vessel situations.

20" Vehicle Head - This is our standard-duty vehicle head for side or top vessel entry with both four or six-wheel drive configuration available.

Custom Vehicle Head - We are able to modify or custom manufacture our vehicle heads for any special application down to and including 12"inch diameter manways.

Tank Cleaning Blades Spiral Propeller - We offer a multitude of different spiral propellers engineered specifically for different materials viscosities. Each propeller is interchangeable with different vehicle heads and every compression hood configuration.

Compression Hood - We offer different situation specific compression hoods (on-board pump, vacuum line, and liquid line) all interchangeable with different vehicle heads and spiral propellers.

Truck Body - Our explosion proof truck body also houses our on-board valve-bank control system operated through 5 on-board computers which are preprogrammed and are able to be adjusted while in operation. They come in four, six, and the eight-wheel drive caterpillar units. The traction tires come in two different chemical compound rubber tires, either solid rubber "Track Tech" tires or solid rubber "Agriculture Tread" tires. We also have aluminum, bronze-coated and stainless steel wheels as the situation may dictate.

Purge System - Our purge system is a component of our ROV which allows for the satisfaction of all safety codes governing entry for any vessel in any plant or facility. We are the only ROV that is certified to operate in a gasoline tank.

Navigational System - Our navigational system is a Frequency Response/Sonar system, accurate to within one inch every one hundred feet. It will show you precisely where your robot and umbilical are in relation to the interior for the vessel. We are currently working on a profiling system that will allow us to see a 3 dimensional color profile as to the density of the material and a material landscape of the tank.

Tank Cleaning Pump Tank Profiling System - This units proprietary design by ARES enables ARES to define the different types of material densities as well as find the obstacles and piping inside the vessel. The unit on the ROV is used for obstacle avoidance with close range profiling of material and the second is utilized for overall location of ROV and profiling of the material in the tank. The definition we will see in overall profiling will vary in grey scale showing very distinct pictures on objects, high grey scale pictures of the high solids and shading of grey through the different stratified materials. In addition, in aiding both of navigation of material profiling we will have the capabilities to be able to monitor the roof as it is lowered onto its legs on the floor. This is the latest technology and creates a safe operation of both ROV and mechanical operation of landing the floating roof.

Specialty Pumps - Each proprietary pump can be configured with different impellers designed to chop, grind or mix a variety of material compounds. Although compact enough to drop easily through a 12-inch opening, these pumps can still deliver a high GPM at over 90ft. of dynamic head.
